Baseboard notch
A Murphy bed has to sit flat against the wall, so we notch the bottom back edge of the cabinet to fit over your baseboard (also called skirting or base molding).
Measure your baseboard's height and depth, including any shoe molding or quarter round, then choose a notch at least that tall and deep.

Bed is excellent quality! If you are not a handy person, highly recommend hiring a handyman to put together. This is incredibly heavy and high quality. All pieces were solid and in excellent condition. The bed looks amazing and is easy to open and close and very comfortable. Anxious to see what our first guests think of it!
